I think you'll find this a great place to get answers for most of your questions. Another great resource I found when I began restoring my 28 sedan was the VCCA.
vccachat.org/ Most of the discussions over there center around stock restorations, but I'm sure you could find help in translating body codes, job numbers, the type of wheels you have and the like. If I can be of any help let me know.
