A quick call to the WD-40 Dist. Plant out in SD. Calif. And she will tell you if it is safe to use on rubber products to stop squeeks.
I know this product is very water resistent as it was developed to keep the rust off parts for missile's. It took them forty trys to develope this chemical, hence the name WD-40! Oh one more tid bit DO NOT USE THE CHEMICAL FOR SPICING UP YOUR BAIT IF YOU FISH AS THE WD-40 WILL NOT DISPERCE IN WATER! Its a Federal Offence if you get caught using it according to the secretary at the plant where it is produced.. Just a little insite gentalmen.
