This rear bumper was similar in design and shape as the front bumper but it was a different bumper.
Rear bumpers were also optional in 1954/55 and this rear bumper was distinctly different from the front bumper.
All years of panel body trucks came with front and rear bumpers (same bumper on front and back, but different mounting brackets on front and back).
However, it looks like rear bumpers were standard from 1947-1952 during the Advance-Design years (similar in design and shape as the front bumper but it was a different bumper).
