Thanks for the tip, Bill. I'll try to remember to jot down the data plate info and do a search. On my last effort, I took the saw to the service center and had them look it up, and they were stumped. Although I SURE they looked it up correctly,
I'll give it a shot and see what I can find. If nothing, then it looks like an electric motor shop is my next option.
