| | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | I just checked a set of used '50 216 pistons and I also see no orientation mark. A quick check of my shop manual also didn't indicate any positioning other then centering on the rod.If it's not mentioned and someone's experience doesn't indicate it I think you can assume the piston mount to rod is non-directional.I suppose that's a good reason to place a mark on disassembly.
