I get about 16-18 with my 261 but only if I keep the timing advanced a few degrees. It's enough so it misses a little if you run the engine at fast idle (the vacuum advance kicked in) but at curb idle and under load it runs great.
If I run it in the stock position I only get about 14. The engine is stock except for an auto choke rochester and a dual point distributor plate.
