i spent 2300.00 to have mine rebuilt and sometimes i wish i had put a 350 or something else in it. it is a very reliable engine the 235 i drove it for 20 years myself with no problems but i drove it locally. i sometimes wonder if it would make a long haul like the kc trip, 1200 miles there and back. i may find out next year. maybe if i get the insulation done and it rides quieter and i can't hear all the clanks creaks and groans and am talking about the truck, i will feel more confident. most people think it is cool that i have left it in. i tell the uninitiated that i have a corvette engine, most don't know that the 235 was the original corvette. ron
