Depends on which Kobalts you get. Some of them are made by K-D/GearWrench. Those are good tools, I have a set that get regulare use/abuse. The regular Kobalt I'm not so sure about. The original Kobalts were made by Williams, which is a division of Snap-On.
Also, what red58 posted is true. I work for Sears, the warrantee has NOT changed.
