A lot depends on the carburetor, intake manifold, and even camshaft profile. The spacers can have four holes, two holes, or open. Now do you want plastic, wood, or metal?
What design is your intake? dual plane? single plane?
V8? inline 6?
I really doubt you will see any fuel mileage increase unless something is really wrong to start with.
