Jackyl, What about selling your 1 ton and finding a 1/2 ton to restore/rod? You would save yourself a TON of work & frustration.IIRC, tou have a nice flatbed truck that should sell rather quickly-- it was in good shape and, if left a 1 ton , would be a relatively easy restoration.
You can find a 1/2 ton in any condition desired on the various sites-- work it over as you want and save time, money and effort.
