You do need to get the PCV valve working. Gas is collecting in your oil and could damage you engine. I would find a rubber grommet the right size for the PCV valve take the cover off and drill/cut a hole for the grommet. When you put it back together your idle mixture and speed will change so you will have to adjust them.
if it dosen't need fixed, break it
