I am looking at a 2nd owner 1950 1/4 ton. I can remember the first truck my dad had was a 1949 with flat green paint. He had 5' side boards and could haul a single cow, maybe a cow and calf. He also had a horse. He would drop the tail gate back up to a low spot or off into the ditch and the horse would jump in. Looking around at the trucks from that era, what is a 1/4 ton and what makes it a 1/4 ton?
