54gmc: I have this setup and I know a few others do since I got some good help via this forum. My experience has been very positive. I run a 261 with Fenton and Offenhauser intake. I had the usual problems; grind the intake to get it to fit with the Fentons. Once that was done getting the linkage between the two Holleys wasn't all that difficult. A few people even emailed me a picture of their set-ups. The only issue was getting the linkage pieces. For the throttle rod between the carbs I use a rod from a typewriter platen assembly (chrome, strong & easy to drill. The threaded rods going to the carb were easy, but finding the joints to attach to the carbs & throttle rod were harder. I finally find them at NAPA, but I had to find them on their websiste and then give the clerk the part number. Also, I do run hot water through the intake. I don't know if it helps, but the engine starts right up and after a short warm-up runs fine even though I don't have the choke(s) operational yet (I live in Minnesota). Gas mileage is what you expect, performance seems good and they look great.
