Maybe you could rig a steel rod though the hinge joint on side panels to slide like a barrel bolt into a drilled hole in the beltline. The holes wouldn't be visible until you opened the hood. As far as the replacement panels I made most of mine. Some panels can be found at old truck suppliers like Jim Carters/American/LMC?Dixie.
