sealer is sealer, all the joints/seams got some type of sealer - cored solder isn't used in body work, acid core solder is for radiators, lead [solder without the tin] was used to fill [smooth over] welded joints, as in the cab roof, with a paste flux
seam sealer is what you want for what you need to do, available from any body supply place
