the "spotweld sealer" they call out in the manual is unlikely to be available even at the factory, but it would be a seam sealer that would stand the heat of spot welding ... silicone probably wasn't invented then, lead melts at relatively low temps, and isn't a "sealer" ..... soldier?

check your local body work supply place for seam sealer, oughta do the job
