I like Cad 500 also, in fact I have 500 in a 75 car. I had planned to put it in a 55 GMC as is because it is extremely low mileage. However, people who are Cad men cautioned me to either be prepared to run an automatic or pull the crank and have a hole machined for a pilot bearing. I have 2 455's, one in a 442 Olds and the other in a basket. Both have cranks drilled for a pilot bearing. I'm not sure if they all do.
