Yeah but there is the "junk" price and then there is the "antique" price. At those "antique" prices on evil bay I think I'd just go with the repop rests, I looked for "junk" arm rests for quite a while and then in the end I finally sprung for a couple of the repros and for once they're not to bad. On a 10 scale I'd give them bout a 7. They did fit right out of the box and I didn't have to make any mods. The 7 is because of the upholstery job, it's kind of course looking, doesn't look like a factory job.
But then again, I've never seen a genuine GM factory AD armrest, hint, hint, do any one body have a picture of one of those animals???
Another solution is to carve your own from wood and upholster it your self with Moose hide like Alan Horvath did. Take a look at his web page where he documented the process last year. Sorry but I don't have the link to that.
