Yes the throttle linkage rod goes through the hole in the carb linkage. The rod has a hole in the end and the throttle cable inner wire goes through the hole. As a stopper, I use the inside of a connector that is used to join wires in house wiring. I am talking about the type of connector that has a hard plastic shell and an inner brass fitting that screws in. That fitting works perfectly. The throttle is very handy for warming up the motor when you back the choke off.
