This may be a dumb question, but are these cranks interchangable? Is is just bore difference between these engines or stroke as well? Are the rod journals on the crank different diamaters? The reason I ask is I bought a 261 with a claim of recent rebuild. Had been ran since and was aware of "rumbling" noise. Pulled the head and pan. Haven't torn down completely yet. Everything looks good and like it was recently rebuilt but extremely excessive clearance rod to crank on every single cylinder. More than wear could accomplish or wrong bearings. (You can move every rod back and forth by hand.) Any possibility of someone using wrong crank?
Thanks in Advance,
Steve O.
