Ok, I have a 78' seirra classic shortbed pickup with a 350 in it. When i bought the truck it had around 96000 miles on it and didnt take any oil (last fall), from what i realized. last spring I put a crane energizer cam in it. Now it take oil like crazy. I drive it to school everyday(unless bad weather) which is a 10 mile round trip. I have to add a quart almost every 40 miles. What causes this? My dad has a 78 malibu that does the same thing and he even replaced the piston rings.
there is no oil on the ground when i back up and no oil leaks on the engine block.
Im stumped, I would love any help you guys are willing to give me, even tho my truck doesnt fit the "pre 73'" category. LOL
