Fred, I'll join with the vote for the electrical/ignition problem.
A sudden and total loss of power (engine run) followed by later restart can, on rare occasion, be the result of fuel starvation. But, that is usually more intermittent and residual fuel will usually allow some irregular running or sputtering.
I don't know nuthin' about fancy electronic ignition systems, so you are out of my league there.
