I have never done a EZ harness. The brake light switch and dimmer switch are both way down under the toe board so there probably is extra length in those wires.
If you don't have after market turn signals, then you are correct, the brake switch is wired in series between brake lights and a fused source of power..probably in your new fuse box.
The wiring should be there and well identified for that brake light switch, as it's a standard issue deal on all the AD trucks.
If the harness is for a generator equipped rig, the wiring won't be proper for a alternator equipped system. This isn't true if you bought a generic harness that would cover both applications.
Your directions or ordering info would probably state if the wiring was 'alternator ready'.
