My 46 is set up with: a 3:90 rear , T-5 with a .72OD, 215/85/R16 Goodrich Commercial TA's (30.3"tall), stock 235 with two Rochester 2's set up progressive (dumper may only come in on the next motor, for now maybe never)on Clifford 4brrl intake, fentons, flowmaster 2 in 2 out muffler with 2 inch pipes. By the numbers should run 70mph, in OD at 2219 RPM, and in 4th (1:1)about 3040 RPM.
Questions:
1) Agree torque rules. Can one gain/get back some torque with the addition of a 1" carb spacer (not because it was wanted but out of necessity)?
2) Numbers at this point are theory, we are driving big shoe box's. How does the aero affect the numbers?
On a sad note, today is the two year purchase aniversary of the old my 46. I thought I would have been done. Again,what numbers get crunched may be adversly affected by the real road.
