The one that Mike left here works every time and never needs replacement... then again you may have some momentum up going downhill like that... you might want to put a few quartered logs (the aforementioned redneck brakes) behind the path of the truck's wheels to run into...
Come to think of it, why not just back her down gently with the tractor and a steel cable?
