| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 | In my opinion the reason it won't come out is that it is a very close fit and you have so much of it already out that it is tilted. Even the very slightest angle will keep it from aligning.
Cutting it might work by making it easier to align with the front cam bearing but I've never heard of anyone having to do that. And yes, I would remove the front cam bearing as all should be replaced anyway. Are you sure all the other bearings are in the block and not one of them trying to come out with the cam? That would make it nearly impossible but again, never heard of that either. Be patient, talk to it gently and persuade it to come on out.

Maybe you should just take it to your machine shop and have them remove it as they are likely the ones dipping it anyway.(?) | | |
