One of my buddies just gave me an early 90's truck seat for my '57. It's REALLY comfy and the bench sits in the cab pretty well. I am confident I can either just drill into the cab and bolt it down or fab up an adapter to use original holes. It is a little wider than the stock bench and as such the indent for one's butt is to the left of the steering wheel. I can remove the cover and disassemble it, using the pieces to make a pattern for a new cover. I have a cheap upholstery sewing machine that I can use to make a new cover. My question to y'all is how hard is it to reshape/pad up the foam such that my derierre is centered over the steering wheel? I have access to a foam and fabric store that sells to the upholstery trade. Thanks, Don from So Cal...
