"schematic"? the wire off the bearing assembly comes out the side of the column where there's a cover plate and plugs into the wire under the dash
check the shop manual and/or assembly manual .... if you don't have either, you should have
maybe some one will have a picture, but the bearing install requires the wheel be removed, and then it'll be obvious - when you've got the wheel off, how the button mechanics go on might also be obvious
