First is that the rings aren't seated. Get on a lonely road and accelerate from 20 to 40 as fast as possible then back down to 20. Up and down several times should do it. The other possibility is did you put in umbrella seals on the valves or go with the O-rings. The O-rings will allow some seepage when the engine sits, but usually doesn't show up for quite a while.
