Hey all! figured out part of fuel delivery problem. There was a "lacquer" of sorts in fuel tank from REALLY old gas which had solidified. It was clogging about 1/3 of the fuel pickup tube. Several hours of soaking, and "augering" w/ some electrical fence and...VOILA.
Already dark when that was completed, so rest of system will be another day.
By the way, it's a 1956 gmc 2-1/2 with 302.
The fuel pump is AC manufactured & has a secondary pump attached @ bottom. One end goes from or to the intake manifold, the other disappears(maybe into cab, have to check better). IS THIS A VACUUM PUMP? If not, what might it be and for what purpose? Thanks in advance for the help!
