I've put a new (original style) master cylinder in my '41 1/2-ton canopy, but I was missing the original clevis/plunger. Made a new one from a (gasp!) Ford part. I note in my parts catalog that the right part seems to have a locking ring to hold the plunger in place (and also, apparently, to limit return travel on the pedal). Am I reading this right, and does this explain why I'm having such a hard time bleeding the brakes? And, if so, any suggestions on where to find a plunger and related locking parts? Thanks.
