Okay my water outlet cover was leaking antifreeze on my 283. I pulled the hose and drained some antifreeze then proceeded to pull the cover and the old gasket fell apart. I wipe the area off and put the new gasket on and tested. She leaked like a sieve.

So I bought a new water outlet cover, new gasket and some silicone gasket material. layed a bead on both sides of the gasket and secured the water outlet cover.

I will be testing this set up this afternoon but in theory it shouldn't leak, is that a correct theory?
If it does leak what do I do next.
