I read the Maintenance Manual and looked at the Assy Manual and my windows. My observations: Stabilizer may be a glued on plastic or metal piece on bottom of slider to make sliding easier. If there is no piece like that in kit, you don't need it. Manual says it is on the slider and on the bottom and is "glued" on. None of my slider glass pieces have a glued on piece at the bottom. The stepped up edge on the bottom of the slider is to facilitate removal(tip up) and give less surface to make sliding easier. It may also enable a tight fit into that acute angled, small radius corner. The felt covered, metal reinforced, corrugated channel is used for the slider glass to slide in(three sides), but only as far as the slider's excursion. Red58 is the real expert and will respond as time permits. Do you have instructions with your kits?
