I have a 1941 half ton pickup with the original 216 and Carter W-1 carb. The motor starts easily and idles well. I took it for a 50 mile run today, very slight miss on acceleration. When I got home I pulled a plug out. It was black. All the others were the same. The air filter is new. I checked the mixture setting and it was set at one and a half turns out as per the operator manual for a 1941 truck. Idle speed set at 550. Are these setting ok?
Thanks guys | | |
