..........can cause major headaches. I thought I'd go ahead and prime the oil pump since the motor hadn't been started in awhile. I rented the tool from Autozone and attached to my drill and began what should have been a very simple task. To me suprise, oil began to pour from the engine! I must have lost a quart and I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. I discovered that I had left the oil pressure sending unit off the back of the motor. No problem right? Wrong!! I'm using a set of 5" Haneline guages and the sending unit will not clear the back of the intake. There were adapters that came with it but they to will not clear. I might be able to modify one of the fittings by shortening it and adding a short hose on one end and the sending unit on the other. Anybody know how much pressure will build up and if the hose will work?
