ok, here is what i found out today. this number is stamped on the ledge on the passenger front next to the timing cover: F0208YA.
according to the website that i looked up it was assembled in Flint,MI on Feb. 8th. i haven't figured out the "YA" part yet.
secondly, i found the VIN# over the door. it is as follows: C6335A116929.
now i'm trying to figure out what that tells me.
