Harold41 'Bolter H Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 354 Telford Tn	I thought the heater served as a bypass which prevents hot spots before the thermostat opens & that's why the 261 has a by-pass thermostat. Also it doesn't dead head the pump when the thermostat is closed. Harold Wilson 41 Chevy 3/4 Ton
