I usually use a 1/4 or 3/16 piece of rubber gas line hose. put a 1/4 inch bolt in one end of the hose and clamp it. unscrew the gas line and push the hose on to the end of the gas line, take the pump off and install the new one , last part is to remove the rubber hose and install the final gas line,
