Thank you to the Stovebolt community, since my last problem, a faulty starter, I now have a what seems to be a bad fuel pump. I bouhgt the fuel pump, but went to take the old off and it seemed as if the flow of fuel would never stop, so I STOPPED. Can someone help me get this pump changed.
Let me tell you the conditions, it is in my front yard on a hill. I can't get it back in the driveway (up a hill). So I have to change it where it is. I looked at the 2 nuts the are on the line. Using 2 open ended wrenches began to remove the fuel line from the tank to the pump (at the pump). The plan was to remove the 2 fuel lines then the bolts that have it attached to the block. But I don't know how to stop the flow of gas or if there is a way to stop it. I did remove the fuel cap from the tank, should I do that or does it matter.
Any guidelines would help.
