I'm looking for advice as I get started on a new project with an old family pu. I'm trying to stay as orginal as possible with a 48 chevy pu. I have to replace the old 216 because someone melted the babbit bearings. So is it better to stay orginal with a rebuilt 216 or move up to a 235? Also should I go to a 12 volt system when we make a change?
