Well, I've looked in my shop manual but the only thing it shows is how to get the arm off of the rod that goes through the cowl(if that is the right word) below the windshield. The rod that goes through below the windshield is connected at a joint to another rod(flatter wider piece of metal, whereas the rod that goes through below the windshield is round) that goes to the wiper motor. This joint is my problem. That's where it was disconnected, and the weird shaped piece of metal that has the flat rod connected at one end has a hole for the round rod(I know this is hard to understand but I'm doing the best I can to explain) to go through. The round rod has some of the material removed on the end to make it rectangualar so that it can fit through the hole in the metal piece at the joint. I'm not sure how to go about keeping that rod attached to the piece of metal that makes up the joint.
