Funny that you mention it. I thought it was backwards from what others have described with so in Hutchinson KS at the ATHS show this weekend, I paid close attention to new filter kits. They were labeled Inlet on the side and outlet on the bottom which is what I thought was correct. The inlet will go go to oil pressure sending unit area and the outlet will be a gravity drain that goes just above the oil pan rail and drins into the pan.
