Sorry it took so long to reply. Had to be at a car show today. I forgot to mention that the block had hydrolic lifter and i'm converting over to solids. There is no plug or opening at the other end of my block. From what i see, the plug stays. My new solid lifters have the bevelled side as shown in the photo and labled "right".
