If the starter mounting looks the same,the high torque starter usually has two leads coming out of the case about 3/4 inch from the end and ataches to the solinoid.If the mounting is the same both low & high torque would start the big block cold,but the low torque may not turn fast enough to start when hot.hope this helps.
