I've had two different Rochester 1-bbl carbs on my 216 and both of them have behaved this way. The needle valve sticks and causes flooding. If I pound on the fuel inlet area, it frees up the needle and everything works fine. I've had the top off the carb a number of times, removed the needle and seat, cleaned everything out, even reamed it a bit to give a little more clearance, but the problem persists. Any ideas?
