There are a few guys here with vintage 4x4's, I have a 55 with 58 NAPCO running gear I'm building. My project is pretty much a bolt on, yours on the other hand will take some serious modification. It will be an interesting truck if you can pull it off. I also second what Builder said, spray some dull clear over that patina, then it would look even better as a 4x4.
