I went thru this same misery a while back--I feel your pain. I'd just like to encourage you to hang in there. I'm sure glad I did--what a feeling of accomplishment when I finally--got it! I used a switch that came in an orange box with switch wiring instructions that would have had better application for wiping up oil spills. I also had a truck wiring system that had been modified from original by a PO and no wiring diagram. There was LOTS of trial and error, head scratching and a colorful word or two. I still haven't gotten the column indicator light to work, but everything else does. I'll get that solved after I take care of higher priority items.
