Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,807 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,807 | The sheet metal cover at the top of the shift tower is spring-loaded, and can be removed by pushing it down about 1/4" and turning it counterclockwise a little. The shift handle will pop up and it can be lifted out of the tower. Once it's out, you might also have to unbolt the top of the transmission to inspect the shift linkage, but getting the shifter out is the first step. Jerry
