I would rather just rebuild this engine. I want to keep the truck as origional as possible. including the origional truck color. I think, that it would be even more fun to rebuild this engine myself. I have rebuilt engines before, so this shouldnt be too bad. I already have the engine hoist and stand that I borrowed from my neighbor.(my new next door neighbor gave me permission to use them) so I have that portion covered. I have already pulled the transmission and am cleaning it up right now.
My feeling is, that just replacing the engine with a new one, would cheapen the restoration experience for me. Thats just my opinion.
