A few years ago when I was getting stuff together to do my first stainless brake line job I considered the Fedhill flare tool, and at the time it was lots of money, and I also decided I could make one if I could see one in person....
Fast forward to now, It is still a fair amount of money, but I now understand and appreciate the value, which I did not back then. Being frustrated with several different lesser tools helped me see the light. Last night the thought crossed my mind about making one again, and I decided that for the money, if it does what it is supposed to, then it is worth it, and the time it would take me to make one is more valuable than the money they are asking for it.
